• There are 3 dedicated accessible bays directly opposite the main entrance doors with a dropped curb and tactile paving, and two further bays are situated within the main car park.

Entrance to the facility is via automatic doors with steps or platform lift which takes you to the welcome area.

The area has a 1050mm reception desk. 

Customers can converse with staff bilingually in either Welsh or English. 

Signage from reception includes braille and access to the fitness gym and swimming pools via 950mm access gates and internal 1500mm wide double doors.

Access to the sports hall is either via an 830mm door from reception and steps, or the platform lift and via two sets of double doors 1500mm wide.

• All areas on the first floor are fully accessible with level access throughout.

  • Swimming Pools - A mobility Hoist (max capacity 160kg) is available and allows access in both the main and learner pools, whilst the learner pool also has stepped access.
  • A warmer learner pool that can be used for rehabilitation exercises.
  • Gym - There is a range of equipment that is suitable for users of mixed abilities.
    • Sci Fit Hand Bike - Has a removable seat to make it accessible for all users.
    • Dual Adjustable Pulley - Is accessible for users for all abilities.
    • Treadmills - The arms of the treadmill allow for those with mobility issues to hold on whilst walking.
  • Astro Turf - The floodlit all weather pitch is accessible via tarmac path.
  • 3G - The floodlit all weather pitches is accessible via a graduated paved path.
  • Track - The running track is accessible via a graduated paved path.

There is a dedicated accessible changing room via a 900mm wide door that includes.

• Height adjustable, adult size bench.
• Horizontal and vertical grab rails.
• Shower chair and privacy curtain.
• Accessible shower with removable hose.
• All accessible toilets and pool changing facilities are fitted with emergency call buttons to request assistance.
• Unisex changing cubicles and toilets area available.
• Stand-alone family changing room with bench and wall mounted baby changing unit.
• Stand-alone accessible toilet with sink and grab rails.

• There are a variety of swimming pool sessions to choose from which are accessible with the use of the mobility hoist.
• Swimming Lessons are available for both adults and juniors. 
  • Whilst every effort is made for everyone to be taught within a group lesson, we recognise that this is not always possible and offer one to one lesson for those who are unable to participate within a group environment.
