Actif Tywi Valley RunFest 2027
The incredible success of the first-ever Tywi Valley Half Marathon and the fantastic feedback from participants inspired us to make 2027 even bigger, with the introduction of the Friday Night Fiesta and more opportunities for runners, families and supporters to get involved.
The 2027 event weekend will begin with the Friday Night Fiesta on Friday 13 August, featuring a 10K race, 5K race, children's races and family activities, before the Tywi Valley Half Marathon returns on Sunday 15 August 2027.
Tywi Valley Half Marathon
Starting and finishing at Ysgol Bro Dinefwr in Ffairfach, with the halfway point in Llanarthne, the half marathon gives participants the opportunity to enjoy a fully traffic-free route through one of Carmarthenshire's most beautiful landscapes.
The race will start with the first wave at 9:00am.

Friday Night Fiesta
New for 2027, Friday Night Fiesta brings the community together for an evening of racing, family fun and entertainment.
Featuring 10K and 5K races, children's races and activities for all ages, it's the perfect way to kick off the Tywi Valley event weekend.
Inspired by the incredible support for the Half Marathon, we're creating even more opportunities for everyone to take part.
Entries for the Friday Night Fiesta will open on Monday September 28. More details coming soon.

There are 1000 spaces available.
The 2026 race sold out in just a few weeks, therefore it is advised to register early.
