2025 was a year of progress made together, with over 3700 attendances across the year! With your valuable feedback, we continued to develop our timetable—adding new classes and adapting existing ones that your communities have loved. We've picked our favourite moments from the year, which you can read more about below.
Llanybydder Open Day
On 27 September, we hosted a free open day at the newly refurbished Llanybydder Old School Community Centre. This beautiful centre features a café, a gym, and a spacious hall enjoyed by the whole community.
The day was filled with fun, as families took part in fitness sessions and children’s activities, making it a fantastic community celebration.
Powering Through Change
During October, a new project called Powering Through Change began. This 10-week strength and wellbeing programme is designed for anyone going through the perimenopause or menopause. Participants took part in an exercise session followed by an informative talk delivered by an Hywel Dda clinician's.
The next block of Powering Through Change begins in January. Please contact us if this is something you would be interested in joining.
Halloween 2025
Actif Places ran two spooktacular Halloween parties at Llandybie Memorial Hall and Whitland Memorial Hall.
The children had a fantastic time playing spooky games, creating scary facemasks, and enjoying an energetic NERF gun party that left everyone screaming with joy!
Motiview
Y Neuadd, Cefneithin became the first venue in Wales to take part in the World Senior Championships. Using Motiview technology, participants enjoyed virtual cycling adventures around the world—from the streets of Chicago to famous landmarks in India and Paris.
On Wednesday, 5 November, Jan and Alexander from the Road Worlds for Seniors Championships travelled from Norway to Cefneithin to present medals to local participants who had worked hard throughout October, clocking up impressive mileage.

Bring A Friend For Free Offer
In honour of National Self-Care Week, we ran a Bring a Friend for Free promotion to help tackle loneliness and encourage people to get out and get active.
The initiative saw many of our regular participants bringing along friends to join in the fun. We moved together, laughed together, and truly felt the community spirit come alive!
Christmas 2025
We rounded off the year with two snow-tastic Christmas parties at Llandybie Memorial Hall and Whitland Memorial Hall!
Children at both locations had a brilliant time playing snowball games, creating Christmas tree decorations, and taking part in what may have been the most energetic snowball fight of the year.
